March 1st.  Hickory Shad are starting to arrive at Weldon, N.C. on the Roanoke River.

Hickory Shad fishing was very good on the Roanoke this spring, 50+ days

April 7th Striped Bass are starting to show in the Weldon area.  Big schools are down river.
